Sundanese Snack: Opak

Do you know what is it in the picture? May be a lot of people don't know that. It is one of traditional snacks from Sunda, West Java. Its name is opak.

In English, opak can be defined as roasted disc shaped rice crackers. It is made from rice flour. There are two variants of opak, salty and sweet opak. If i have to choose, i prefer to choose salty opak. I think it is more delicious. But my friend from Jogja likes the sweet. Salty or sweet, it depends on your taste. You can taste it if you come to West Java. You can easily find it in my regency, Ciamis.

That is the simple explanation about opak. Hopefully this information is useful.

Enjoy the traditional snack from Sundanese.
